PIN UP Girl Project

PIN UP GIRL Door Project
Medium:
Oil Paint
Canvas: Wood Door
Size:

Since I am currently in Painting II in Binghamton University, our professor recommended us to do a group project. Luckily my group was able to obtain a set of doors to be used as our project.

Our theme? Pin Up Girls. We thought that with these doors, it would be perfect to show life size Pin Up Girls from different time periods.

My door? She's a modern Candy themed Pin Up Girl.

So far I've only worked on the skin and it has been quite a slow process but I'm quite happy with the skin work so I thought I'd show it to you all.

Still Life with Chocolate Service and Bread Rolls

Still Life With Chocolate Service and Bread Rolls
Medium: Oil Paint
Canvas: Stretched Canvas
Size: 20" x 16"

This painting was one of my assignments: to reproduce a still life painting. I chose to reproduce a piece by Luis Melendez done in 1770. Its only part of the painting that I chose to copy and not the whole thing. But I think the results came out very good.

Here's a picture of the original: CLICK HERE
